Prior to joining the CAMT team in 2007, David spent eight years at the Southern Arts Federation, where he designed and managed both regional and national programs in the visual, performing, media and literary arts. Among those many programs, David supervised logistics for Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience – an historic initiative between SAF, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Also during his tenure with SAF, he spearheaded the development of ArtsOpportunities.org, a free online job bank for the arts community, and SouthernArtistry.org, a multidisciplinary registry spotlighting artists of merit working in the South. David has worked with the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leader Council to build and strengthen a national network of rising arts administrators. He also serves on the board of directors for the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture and writes for the Technology in the Arts blog. David holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Speech Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Brad Stephenson holds a Master of Arts Management from CMU, where he currently teaches Technology Planning for Creative Enterprises. Brad is also the co-host of Technology in the Arts, a bi-weekly podcast sponsored by CAMT.

Before falling in love with technology, Brad worked as a reporter for a large daily newspaper in East Brunswick, NJ, and as the communications director for a Manhattan-based consulting firm. He also spent several years performing stand-up comedy in various New York clubs, including Caroline's, Comic Strip Live and Stand-Up New York. He holds a B.F.A. in acting from the University of Kentucky and is very active in the Pittsburgh theatre community.

Guillermo graduated from the Master of Information Systems Management at Carnegie Mellon. He has been architecting and building enterprise systems for over seven years. Guillermo's software engineering interest is building high performance software with reusable interfaces. He has successfully delivered mission critical applications to companies like CVS, Officemax among others. While studying at CMU, Guillermo got interested in language technologies and conducted innovative algorithm implementations for IBM's Knowledge Discovery research team. Currently he is pursuing to scale up CAMT's IT operations with out a significant increase in operational cost. Guillermo also has a B.S in industrial engineer from Universidad Centroamerica Jose Simeon Canas in El Salvador. In fall 2006, Guillermo will start the MS in Very Large Information System at Carnegie Mellon.

HAEBIN KIM

Since she joined CAMT in 2001, Haebin Kim has been developing database systems and web applications for state arts councils and arts organizations nation-wide. Her specialty is designing Automated Grant Management Systems and content management systems for dynamic Web sites. Art and technology have always been major interests for Ms. Kim. Before joining CAMT, she worked as a web master and educator in the Samsung Museum of Art in Seoul, South Korea, which is the largest private museum in the country. She is a graduate of both the Masters of Arts Management program and the Masters of Science in Information Technology program at Carnegie Mellon University. She also holds B.A. in aesthetics from Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea.


Melody Fleishauer

MELODY FLEISHAUER

Melody Fleishauer is responsible for overseeing the security, stability and general maintenance of CAMT’s Web and network servers. She brings to CAMT a wealth of experience with systems administration and in her previous position managed more than 100 servers with multiple and varying applications in a fast paced, highly secure e-commerce banking environment. Melody has certifications in MCP I, MCSE, Network Administration, Linux Administration, Apache 1.3.12 Administration and Bash Shell Scripting among others. Before beginning her work as a systems administrator, Melody was a surgery technician for eighteen years and was also in the army for five years during which she served two years in Korea. An enthusiastic crafter, she enjoys painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting and gardening.

Josh Futrell, who supports CAMT's partners and manages the Center's quality assurance infrastructure, has never known whether to call himself a nerdy artist or an artistic nerd. In high school, he divided his time between the computer lab and the stage. In college, he spent as much time designing Web sites as memorizing his lines. After earning his B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001, Josh worked in the corporate world as a marketing video editor, an administrative assistant and a customer service representative, all while performing with local theatre organizations. His unique background gives him a foothold in both the technical and the artistic.
